The Big Knitathon

The Big Issue are attempting to break the world record for the largest number of people knitting simultaneously on 17th November. They are holding a "knitahon" and are asking everyone to knit a 6inch square and send it in to them where all the squares will be joined to make one hopefully world record breaking quilt. In addition to knitting squares they are encouraging charitable knitters to knit hats and scarves then sell them to raise money for The Big Issue. Ebay have special rates for charitable sales so that is well worth investigating. Also with Christmas approaching there are sure to be opportunities to sell your knits at the various autumn markets and fairs.
