Wool Week 2012

Love Wool UK is running from 15th to 21st October. Promoted by the Campaign For Wool it's being billed as a "free-style celebration". They're looking knitters and farmers to show their support. Anything goes as long as it involves wool!


Last year upwards of 700 events were organised. If you register your interest at the Campaign For Wool website you can download free patterns and kits from 24th September. Events already organised include Wool School which is a partnership between universites and retailers to develop some jumpers for sale and games of Lyle and Scott woolly golf.

Overseas knitters should also take a look at the Campaign For Wool's website as they now have a number of international sites promoting events in those countries (including the US, Australia, Japan and parts of europe).
